I've been an Artist most of my life. I really fine-tuned my abilities as a face painter for 30 years. Creating detail on a moving target can really improve your game. I've been an Artist most of my life. I really fine-tuned my abilities as a face painter for 30 years. Creating detail on a moving target can really improve your game. I also have a University of Alberta certificate for Residential Design and have worked as a decorator for over 15 years. Having said that, my Artist skills really came to fruition when I started Acrylic liquid pour painting. I love how the mixing of paint colours makes for a delectable palette of design. However, I'm not all that interested in just abstract, so I embellish most of my paintings. I let them talk to me and tell me what they are. Each painting is unique and thoughtfully put together. Even the frame colours are chosen for how they will complement the painting and finish off the design, bringing it all together.
I've been an Author for only a short time, even though I've been developing a theme of books for over 15 years. Now, having more time, I'm filling it will writing. Having just completed my first book, and it's in for publication. My mind races with all the other titles in the series. It's called the Fairy Grandmother Series. Children have always been a great joy to me, and I love creating wonderful things for them. The first book is called "Maisie and the Sand Dragon". An adventure story of fairy magic, dragons, mermaids and fairies.
There are 7 more main books and a number of related books to come. I will have personalized short story books, colouring books, activity books, board games, dolls, and stuffed creatures, like Grumbles the Sand Dragon.

I use many different techniques with acrylic paints, such as acrylic liquid pour painting, embellishing with acrylics, watercolours painted over line drawings, and pastels. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive to my artistic process. Each idea manifests in its own individual style. Besides different Painting Mediums, I also work with Paper Mache' clay but have put it aside for now to concentrate on my paintings and writing.

I enjoy hiking in my spare time and many of my pieces are directly influenced by these hikes in nature. I love recreating plants and wildlife in my work.
